Our design consultation fee of $50 per hour is for you. We offer this low-cost way of engaging an architect to help you make informed decisions, and to explore available options prior to investing in construction.

In order to develop the project, we gather information. In this step, Makelite meets with you to establish the project’s functional requirements, determines code and zoning information pertinent to the project, and prepares the base record drawings.

During schematic design, Makelite creates rough sketches showing the general arrangement of the rooms and of the site. After your approval of the sketches, we produce schematic floor plans and renderings without finishes and materials to highlight key aspects of the design.

During design development, we create the preliminary technical drawings, specifications, and color renderings of the project.

During this step, Makelite develops signed and sealed construction drawings and specifications that will guide the constructing Contractor in the execution of the project.

Your selected Contractor will physically build your project, and is responsible for construction methods, techniques, schedules, and procedures. Makelite can assist you by conducting site visits to observe that the project is built following the design intent of the plans and specifications.
